Unexpected inspiration
Watcha Say all started with a spark of inspiration from a Reddit thread. People were chatting about how cool it would be to have an app on their Galaxy smartwatch that could display emojis, so I decided to take on the task of putting together this fun little project.
Crafting the Experience
Once the idea was born, I dove into the design process, carefully mapping out the wireframes and user interactions, making sure that using Watcha Say would be as easy as pie. With a swipe here and a tap there, users can effortlessly express themselves and set the mood with their favorite emojis, GIFs, and sound effects - all right from their watch face.
Expanding Beyond Expectations
Rather than stopping at emojis, I decided to push the boundaries and expand the project. This led to the development of additional features, including the ability to display GIFs and integrate a sound board for adding fun sound effects to the mix. By going the extra mile, Watcha Say became a multifaceted tool for expression and entertainment on Galaxy smartwatches.
The Design
Streamlined Design for Seamless Interaction
In crafting the design of Watcha Say, simplicity was key. I aimed to create an interface that felt familiar to users while also being easy to navigate. By keeping things clean and straightforward, users can effortlessly express themselves with just a few taps and swipes, making their experience with Watcha Say both intuitive and enjoyable.

Future Goals
Business Objectives in Sight
Watcha Say's business model revolves around offering a free base app with purchasable add-on packs for emojis, GIFs, and sound effects. This approach aims to balance user enjoyment with revenue generation.
Seeking Development Collaboration
Currently, I'm on the lookout for a developer that has th skills needed to make this project a working app on the maket. Together, we'll fine-tune Watcha Say, tackle technical challenges, and prepare it for launch on Galaxy smartwatches, as well as an option for Apple watches. With our collaboration, Watcha Say will become a go-to app for expressive wrist-based interactions.
